Morris moves from ACI to Dovetail
Paul Morris, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing of ACI Wholesale Banking Group, has left ACI and joined Dovetail as Senior Vice President.
The appointment is the latest move in a major strengthening of Dovetail's position in the payments market. "We've spent three years developing and refining our universal payments system," says Martin Coen, Dovetail's CEO, "and now we're in a unique position to take advantage of the increasing change in the payments arena. Hiring Paul is a key move. He has a terrific track record and will really strengthen our North American operation."
Morris spent 13 years with ACI, joining them as a result of their acquisition of IntraNet. In explaining why he joined Dovetail, Morris says, "The market will be transformed in the next few years as regulatory, cost and revenue pressures force banks to re-look at how they manage their payments processing across all payment types. The only way forward is to break down the silos in current systems, but few banks want to do this in a big bang approach; it's just too risky. Dovetail's technology is positioned to allow banks to make progressive change yet end up with a totally integrated system that will handle all payment types and offer the bank significant competitive advantage. I'm looking forward to taking this proposition to market."
