Dovetail continues expansion with new hires
David Chance and Andy Mayer, two leading names in bank payments, have joined Dovetail. Chance joins from e-Funds with 20 years' experience in payments while Mayer has been in banking for over 30 years and joins from his own consultancy.

Dovetail is expanding its senior team on the back of a series of deals. Logica recently bought a distribution licence for Dovetail's core technology, and with it secured a major deal with Standard Bank of South Africa . In parallel, Dovetail won the contract to renovate the complete payments infrastructure of an undisclosed Top 10 global bank. This is the second Top 10 bank to select the Dovetail Payments System for its complete payments infrastructure. "We spent over three years working with a global payments bank to develop and perfect our modular approach and underlying concept of progressive renovation," said Coen. "We are growing because of our reputation for successfully renovating large scale, complex payments environments. The Dovetail Payments System is unique in being proven in this respect. David and Andy are coming on board to strengthen and grow our teams of specialists in Europe and North America so that we can continue to expand our capability to deliver universal payments systems. I am sure they will both contribute significantly in this respect."
David Chance joins from eFunds where he was responsible for Business Solutions, working as a consultant and architect of payment solutions for eFunds' clients across the world. Prior to this, he managed customer support for the company's corporate cash management and middleware solutions. David has worked with a number of UK and European financial institutions in architecting business solutions in areas such as UK Faster Payments and Internet banking.
Andy Mayer joins after running his own consulting practice that specialized in operational efficiency and compliance in transaction banking. Previously he was an officer of a global financial institution responsible for money transfer and cash management operations, and represented the bank at SWIFT, CHIPS and NACHA. Andy is a regular industry speaker and is extensively published.
